A hearty welcome to you all and thank you for checking out Angry Robot’s latest imprint, Datura Books.

The Angry Robot team has a long history of publishing award winning SFF and we know that SFF readers also tend to read crime – enter Datura!

We are publishing a small, focused selection of the best crime titles a year. Our editors span a range of tastes, from literary crossover to fast-paced, urgent and commercial. We’re looking for a strong voice from crime writers who have been published before as well as debut writers.

We champion books that entertain the reader and turn preconceived notions of genre on their head; with the purpose of showcasing plots that engage, stories that matter and, most of all, characters that are true to life. We publish to spark imagination and conversation.

We are looking for incredible locations to inspire, taking in writers from the US, the UK and elsewhere, from the heart of urban environments to remote islands: with a dedication to bringing you one gem of translated crime a year.

We are distributed internationally by PRH so we provide the indie publishing experience with the reach and range of a powerhouse of sales in publishing backing us up round the world.

Lastly, all Datura books that you buy in a shop will be available as a free ebook from our website. We want you to open your mind and be able to read however you want!
